Before I had a relationship with Jesus I went to church every time the door was opened and did all the right things I was expected to do.
I grew up in a Christian home. I had parents who loved me and trained me to do right. My Dad was a minister and I heard many things about Jesus.
But then one evening, God got a hold of my heart through a movie called "The Hiding Place" that was shown at our church. When we returned home, I shared with my parents that I wanted to ask Jesus into my heart. My Dad and Mom sat down with me and walked me through the Bible sharing with me how I could become a Christian.
From that moment on, I realized that Jesus just wasn't somebody we talked about and talked to on Sunday, but rather someone who is personal, someone I could talk to anytime, anywhere, and someone I could journey with.
The journey that I have been on with Jesus has led me to several places where He has provided opportunities for me to serve Him and to grow deeper in my relationship with Him.
There is no doubt that the relationship I have with Jesus is real. And if I were to die today, I know for certain that I would be with Jesus forever.
