It is the difference between Life and Death. It allows me to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I don't have to wonder where I will spend eternity. I know who I am in Christ and it gives me the boldness to live a life that would be an example of Christ to others.
When I came to know Jesus my life changed forever. I was on the edge of hopelessness. I was desperate to know that Jesus was real and really did love me and care about ME. I remember it like yesterday, sitting on the front row of the church on a Wednesday night. I pleaded with God to show himself to me in such a way there would be no doubt. He did just that. I remember crying on my way to my car and had such of feeling of peace and comfort. I knew that my life was worth living and He cared for ME so much. Christ became a friend that I can always count on.
Through Gods word I have seen that I can trust Him. I can come to him with all my cares and worries and He will be there for me, showing me He is "Abba Father".I have been forgiven from myself and given a new life in Him and through Him.
In April 1988 I was so far from the cross.Though I had been in church off and on throughout my childhood and heard all about who He was, I didn't really know him. I had the relationship with a "Lets make a Deal God" and I was the one with the cards in my hand. I made a decision that day to give all of me to God and allow God to show Himself to me.
