Replacing fantasy with eternal life

Rev. George Petrella
May 15, 2010

Before I received eternal life, though raised in a religious home, I was very insecure.

Because I didn't like myself very much, I fantasized about all sorts of things--sports, success, career, education, women, etc. I dreamed about being rich and famous.

I had never read the Bible except for college classes. When I read the Gospels, I discovered how to have eternal life. I received the gift of eternal life in November 1972.

Now that I have eternal life, I know that I am part of God's worldwide family and I don't have to fuel my insecurities by fantasizing.

Because of my eternal relationship with God, I'm able to live more in reality. Lust, fantasy and insecurity have much less grip on my life. Traveling around the world, I have met many others who have welcomed me as a brother in God's family

Better yet, I know that when I die, I am secure and have an eternal place in heaven, with God through Jesus Christ His Son. May I ask you a couple of interesting questions?
