Before I had a relationship with Jesus, I was looking everywhere for happiness, satisfaction, and fulfillment.
I was always looking for more--more possessions, more money, more fun. I eventually found out that possessions and experiences only satisfy temporarily and always left me longing for something more.
Then I discovered that only a relationship with Jesus could truly satisfy me.
After I realized that, I was able to find peace and contentment instead of constantly chasing after the next thing.
My mindset has changed from just trying to keep up with the Joneses and focusing on earthly things to building up God's heavenly kingdom by ministering to others. Serving and showing God's love to others has given true meaning to my life.
Even better, I am looking forward to an eternity in heaven. It is so wonderful to know for certain that I will see God and my loved ones in heaven.
