Knowing this made a difference, because when one has such a low self-esteem as I had, I realized that my life had meaning and that I matter.
The focus of my life changed when I began to learn more about Jesus and the reason He came to earth. This took all of the focus off of myself and my life. I was no longer thinking about all of my inadequacies, because they didn't matter any more.
The positive impact that God has made in my life is that I discovered that I have a talent that I can use to teach others about God and about Jesus.
About 11 years ago when I began to study voice with someone, I discovered that I had a talent for singing.
My voice teacher taught me how to sing and how to project my voice. She taught me about music, and I searched for Sacred music that I could sing in church. I also sang with a choir where I learned an appreciation for Sacred music that I was unfamiliar with before. Before this discovery, I could never stand in front of an audience and even speak, much less sing, but now I can share my love for the Lord through song. Jesus put a song in my heart. I am a new creation in Christ, and I have everylasting life in Him.
