Experiencing Purpose

When you lack purpose and meaning in life it becomes easier to try out different things in order to see if they will bring you fulfillment or to help you forget why something is not right. I recall going out and partying with people because it was a way that I could escape from the pressure put on me to succeed either in school or at a job that I had taken. I felt that I was just going through the motions. I was like a dog chasing a car, if I ever caught it I wouldn't know what to do.
Then, thanks to someone sharing with me and doing some reading, I received eternal life and began experiencing life as God wanted for me.
Now that I have eternal life my life has purpose and meaning.
I now find that I no longer need to drink alcohol or use drugs to dull the pain or help me to forget the situation that I am in. Having eternal life has both sharpened my focus as to what is important in life and given me a most satisfying and fulfilled life.
Better than just the fulfilling life that I now experience is the fact that I know for sure that when I die I will be in heaven with God.
