Before I received eternal life, I had a basic concern about death and dying.
While I was in high school, someone that I knew very well (the sister of a close friend of mine) was killed in an automobile accident. In addition to the sadness that I felt for this person and her family, I was focused on my own mortality and what would happen to me if I were to die.
Several years later I received eternal life while attending college.
Now there is a peace in my life and I am no longer afraid of death.
Not long ago, I was in the hospital for a routine procedure when I had a severe reaction to a medication. My hospital room was suddenly filled with concerned medical staff who were working feverishly to stabilize me. I certainly did not want to die but was filled with the peace and knowledge of knowing that if I did die, I would go to heaven and have eternal life.
