He'll Never Leave You Nor Forsake You

I worked 60 hours a week and missed my children growing up.
Then I discovered there is not condemnation in Christ Jesus. I was forgiven. The guilt went away.
Now that I have eternal life, I take time to smell the roses.
God knew me before I was born. He knew me before I met Jesus. He was just waiting for me to surrender one day. I was sitting at my kitchen table one Sunday morning in the HUD project me and my son lived in, drinking my coffee, smoking a cigarette and reading the obituaries in the Sunday newspaper. It was a dreary day, as there was heavy cloud-cover and rain. I looked out the kitchen window beside where I was sitting, and said, "God, I need a sign." Right at that very minute, the sky split open and the sun burst through the haze and hit me right square in the face through that kitchen window! I had peace and assurance that God was with me. He arrested me. I couldn't move. It was awesome!
Even before I knew His Son, Jesus Christ, my Heavenly Father was with me, waiting for the day I would come to salvation. This was in 1982. I was saved in 1994. I thank God for waiting for me to come to know His Son, Jesus.
