A terrible burden to bear

I knew there was a heaven and a hell. I sure did not want to go to hell, so everyday I lived in fear that I would die and go there.
Then someone shared with me how I could receive eternal life.
Someone explained what saving faith is.
No one had been able to explain how to receive the gift of eternal life. What a burden was lifted! I was free to live! I no longer had to fear death.
That freedom gives me great peace and a longing to be with God. I know for certain that I have eternal life.
