Becoming Fearless

Before I had a relationship with Jesus, I was afraid all of the time. I would burst into tears if anybody talked to me. I was so afraid of disappointing people or getting in trouble. I was trapped in a life I wasn't prepared to live.
I use to be so afraid, I wouldn't leave my house. I couldn't go to the grocery store. I couldnOt stand large crowds. I let people take advantage of me because I was too afraid of disappointing them.
Then my parents sat me down and explained the freedom available through Jesus Christ. I had value and worth outside of my self because of Jesus Christ. I could life my life only to please Christ without killing myself to please everybody else.
I realized that I had a wonderful loving God who would always protect me. I didn't have to be afraid because God knows all and can save me from all things. He will forever provide for my needs.
I was working at my bank job when a man came in with a mask. He showed me a bomb and asked if I was ready to die. I felt instant peace that can only come from God. It made me fearless. I informed him that I was ready to die, and that he had way more to fear from me than I from him. He left without hurting anybody and without taking any money.
Its funny how a man with a bomb can really make you think. I know without a doubt that when I face death, it won't enslave me. I have nothing to fear. My God commands even life and death. Nothing happens to me without His devine permission. Therefore, I can live my life with passion for Christ.
