In Pursuit of Real Happiness

You know, I am so glad to I know that I have eternal life because God has changed my life and given me a real purpose and meaning which I never had before. Before I received eternal life my value in life was all about how much money I make and how successful I am. Not that I made a lot of money or that I was successful but that’s where I placed my value, on the material things.

But after one point of my life, when my father past away, and in a period where I was lost, confused, and scared, I remember thinking to myself many times, "I don't know where I am coming from, and I don't know where I'm going."

One day, two friends visited me with a youth pastor. They explained how I could know for sure I was going to heaven. On that day I gained the assurance of eternal life.

Then, eventually, I realized the happiness does not resided on how much money I make or how successful I am. Although those are important things in our lives, but God has given me a completely new outlook and meaning. It truly was the most significant decision of my life!

So that was a great benefit of knowing that I have an eternal life, and the greatest benefit of having an eternal life is I know that if I were to die right now I’ll go to the heaven.
